Nominations/applications are currently being accepted for President-Elect and Treasurer of the Vascular Disease Foundation. Deadline for applications is January 31st. VDF seeks diversity within its Board to assist the organization in furthering its work to reduce death and disability from vascular disease.
The Vascular Disease Foundation is a not-for-profit corporation organized under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, dedicated to reducing the widespread prevalence of vascular disease through increased public awareness, education and advocacy. VDF is governed by a fifteen person Board of Directors consisting of individuals and health-care professionals committed to VDF’s mission and who are responsible for governance of the organization. Directors serve annual terms, renewable for up to a total of four years. Directors are expected to attend four meetings per year, actively participate in the organization and work to help VDF fulfill its mission.
Current Board openings are for President-Elect and Treasurer.

Applicants should submit a short letter via email addressing the following points:
- Contact information
- A brief statement of why you would like to be on the VDF Board
- Experiences in the field, other not-for-profit organizations or professional societies, industry and/or other relevant experience or expertise that you feel would be useful to VDF
- A statement of your willingness to commit approximately fifteen days per year to Board meetings and other VDF business.
- Other information you feel would be helpful to the Nominating Committee.
